Shannen Doherty bravely shares photos of her battle with cancer on Facebook
When we see celebrities, we often think of them as blessed demigods who do not have to deal with our day-to-day battles. But former Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmedstar Shannen Doherty turned that idea on its head when she took to Facebook andInstagram today to share a series of touching photos showing her dealing with breast cancer, specifically shaving her head, as many Chemo patients do.
Doherty labeled the photos “steps” 1 to 6, and each is heartbreaking in its vulnerability:

The friend mentioned, Anne Kortright-Shilstat also posted on Instagram, writing:
“I couldn’t be prouder of you today. Your strength and courage is so inspiring and I am so very lucky to have you in my life. Thank you for blindly trusting me today to help you with such a big step.”
Doherty revealed her cancer diagnosis last summer, when she revealed that she would also be filing a lawsuit against her former business managers, whom Doherty claims “blundered” her insurance payments, subsequently causing them to lapse. Eeesh! The suit is still ongoing.
We wish Doherty health and safety, and are in awe of her bravery.
